"A Wing and a Prayer"

Reverend Gavin Longacre (Seth Hannum) invites a small group of church members for a potluck supper to broach the subject of starting a building fund. Hazel Holgate (Kim Winkleman) arrives first to set up everything, followed by Jenny Lou Jefferson (Nancy Welling) and Cornelia St. Jerome (Leslie Icenhower). Annie Christie (Emily Householder), the church secretary, arrives next, then Malcomb Pendleton (Lance Angle), the head of the building drive. Della Drinkwater (Beth Mays) shows up bringing her Dark Indulgence Devil’s Food Cake before the final member to arrive, the wealthy Lillian Kingsley (Nancy Wolf). Before Reverend Longacre can give his two-hundred-plus reasons for the drive, Lillian startles the assembled members by announcing that she is planning to donate $1.5 million in jewelry to the fund, but when her purse is retrieved from the cloakroom, it is found to be empty. A thief has struck!! Well-versed by reading so many mysteries, Reverend Longacre begins an investigation that leads his church members — and you, the audience — to reveal the culprit!!
